The Forum Gallery in the UGA Department of Classics presents a Virtual Exhibition of John Linton Chapman's painting, "Via Appia" (1867). Georgia Museum of Art, University of Georgia.  The exhibition explores Chapman's manipulation of space to create an idyllic image of the Via Appia Antica in Rome.

Undergraduate Programs

UGA Classics explores Greek and Roman culture (material; intellectual; religious) from Troy to Augustine; Classical languages and literatures (Greek, Latin, and in English translation); and the reception of Classical Antiquity with A.B. and M.A. Classics degrees with multiple areas of emphasis.
