Go Tell the Spartans - Translating the Thermopylae Epitaph

This paper considers Simonides's famous epitaph by examining three English translations, as well as Cicero's Latin translation, and evaluating their fidelity to the Greek original using Eugene Nida's principles of "Dynamic Equivalence."
