I am currently a MA student in the department of Classics specializing in Classical Languages. I received two BAs from the University of California Irvine in Classics and Religious Studies. My research interests include Roman religion and ritual practices, sacrifice, death and the treatment of the body, religious art and architecture, as well as Iconoclasm and the treatment of religious icons in the Ancient World into Late Antiquity. I am interested in researching sacrifice and its narrative treatments in Roman Literature, specifically examining the perversion of sacrificial ritual as a literary device.
